BLK WKS Studios Paper Crane Limited Edition

Since debuting in 2015, Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has remained a go-to choice for craft cigar hobbyists looking to experience new and unorthodox flavor profiles based on Nicaragua's fiery intensity.

While the bulk of Black Works' cigars fall under the fuller-bodied spectrum, the brand pulled back on the reins with the Black Works Paper Crane, highlighting a special Ecuadorian Connecticut desflorado wrapper. Desflorado is a technique where the tobacco plant's flowers are removed prior to seed formation, forcing nutrients toward the leaf. This deepens the shade of the leaf’s hue and makes for a sweeter flavor profile.

Blended and designed by owner and founder James Brown, the Paper Crane cigar is rounded out through the selection of an Ecuadorian Habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua. The cigars are then box-pressed and offered in limited quantities, offering a medium-bodied profile that is aromatic and citrus forward, being lightly spicy and backed by sweeter notes of bread dough and raw honey.
