Going back over a decade, Smoke Inn has been the exclusive retailer for Cigar Dojo's annual Cigars of the Year countdown. Each year, we partner with the Dojo team to create an irresistible sampling from their coveted Top 10 list, allowing you to experience some of the best cigars of the year without having to track them all down, one by one.
The 2022 Cigars of the Year sampler features five cigars from the Top 10, including the awe-inspiring No. 1 pick: Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo. The sampler ranges from medium to full in body, offering a wide range of profiles for the die-hard cigar hobbyist.
This is it—the Cigar of the Year! The H99 follows Drew Estate's beloved Liga Privada No. 9 and T52 cigars with a special new Corojo hybrid wrapper grown on small plots of land in the Connecticut River Valley. The cigar is punchy in flavor and thick in texture, with intoxicating flavors of black pepper, smooth chocolate, cinnamon, brownie batter, and French-press coffee.
Knuckle Sandwich Habano Toro
Espinosa and Guy Fieri team up for a cigar release: what's not to love?! This was the Dojo's No. 3 pick for Cigar of the Year, offering a medium-full body and clean/spicy/sweet qualities of cabinet spice, buttermilk, Redhots candy, and sweet coffee cake.
A.J. Fernández is at it again... this time showcasing tobaccos from his new Dorado farm throughout virtually the entire cigar. Named for the land's gold-like soil, the New World Dorado (Cigar Dojo's No. 4 pick) showcases a profile that is somehow familiar yet new... with unavoidably aromatic flavors of warm spices, a savory sweetness, and a memorable gingersnap quality through the finish.
Guardian of the Farm Cerberus Toro
Aganorsa Leaf took home the No. 7 Cigar of the Year with the Guardian of the Farm Cerberus, named for the multi-headed dog tasked with guarding the gates of the underworld in Greek mythology. The cigar shows off Aganorsa's new Nicaraguan Corojo 2012 ingredient, which is used as the wrapper component. This is a medium-plus smoke, hitting flavors of must, salted nuts, cedar, and a clove-like spice.
Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf Robusto
Why use one Broadleaf when you can use two?... Alec Bradley ranked as the Dojo's No. 9 Cigar of the Year with the aptly named Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf, showing off the company's own proprietary Honduran-grown Broadleaf throughout the wrapper and binder. This is perhaps the fullest-flavored AB cigar you'll come across, delivering a punchy experience of earth, freshly roasted coffee bean, chocolate malt, and a root-beer-like combination of vanilla/nutmeg/anise.
