As the first cigar from Crowned Heads—initially debuting in 2011—Four Kicks has always held a special place in the hearts and humidors of craft cigar enthusiasts. As Crowned Heads is known to showcase tweaked versions of their most beloved lines, it wasn't long before the company debuted the limited Mule Kick variation, first offering a more robust take on the Four Kicks blend with the launch of the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2012 cigar.

While the sought-after Mule Kick remained a one-off release for many years, the company brought the cigar out of retirement in 2017, now offering new renditions of the blend in each successive year. These blend tweaks have conventionally been limited to the wrapper component, but the 2023 release takes it a step further, bringing in new tobaccos for the binder and filler as well.

Limited to 3,000 boxes of 10 cigars, the Crowned Heads Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2023 cigar makes use of a special Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf as the wrapper ingredient. This leaf surrounds a Dominican binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the DR (including a highly influential Dominican Piloto Cubano leaf). Offered in the Mule Kick's signature 5⅞" x 52 robusto extra size, the 2023 Four Kicks Mule Kick Limited Edition is balanced yet punchy in flavor, bringing unique complexities of peppered toast, candied nuts, classic leather, and stone fruit sweetness in the finish.
