One thousand days; that's how long Crowned Heads worked on their beloved Mil Días brand. As you might've guessed, this is the inspiration for the cigar's name and logo, with the "M" on the cigar's band representing the the Roman numeral for 1,000. Following a thousand days of development, the Mil Días hit store shelves in 2020, going on to receive countless high-score ratings and honors among cigar critics' year-end rankings.
It wasn't long before Crowned Heads began expanding the line, introducing fine-tuned limited expressions of the blend over the next two years. And while all of these offshoots have centered around the same blend up 'til this point, Crowned Heads is now ready to begin taking things in a more creative direction...
Introducing the Crowned Heads Mil Días Marranitos Edición Limitada 2022, the most unique iteration of the Mil Días line to date! New for 2022, Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber describes the Mil Días Marranitos as “same but different,” showcasing the original binder (Nicaragua) and filler (Nicaragua, Peru, and Costa Rica), now replacing the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra maduro leaf. The Mil Días Marranitos EL 2022 is rolled in a single 5¾” x 52 format that has been limited to 2,500 boxes. This exciting take on a fan favorite brings added body, offering a medium-plus experience and highlight flavors of oak, espresso, toasted caramel, and a sweet chocolate maltiness.
