Since the first Crowned Heads TAA cigar (The Angel’s Anvil) in 2014, the company has had one of the most interesting/engaging ongoing releases in the limited/annual TAA Exclusive Series. For this brand, Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber crafted a unique narrative, proving something of an allegory for Huber's own journey in the premium cigar business.
The story began with The Angel’s Anvil (note the TAA acronym), which describes a fallen angel that sets out to craft new wings in order to return to heaven. This theme continued for six releases before switching the The Lost Angel prequels in recent years. These cigars focus on the darker backstory of the protagonist: before regaining his wings, the angel must fall from heaven...
Enter the Crowned Heads The Lost Angel 2022, a limited-run cigar offered exclusively through retailers that are members of the Tobacconists' Association of America (TAA). As with the previous year's release, the The Lost Angel 2022 is rolled at the up-and-coming Tabacalera Pichardo factory in Nicaragua. This year's release swaps the San Andrés wrapper of 2021 for a new Ecuadorian Habano leaf, surrounding a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers of Nicaragua and the DR. Limited to only 1,000 boxes for 2022, The Lost Angel 2022 is a unique combination of intensity, flavor, and complexity— a must have for collectors and seasoned cigar hobbyists alike.
