For many cigar enthusiasts, their first encounter with Daniel Marshall is a jarring experience, with the company's 24kt Golden Torpedo cigar glistening from behind the retailer's top-shelf vault, cutting to your core with a $300 price tag...
Clearly, this showstopper is designed to draw you in, being smoked primarily by celebrities and even casual enthusiasts on rare celebratory occasions. However, strip away the glitz and glam and you're left with a solid smoking experience with a more approachable price point.
This is the Daniel Marshall Red Label cigar, the core blend that the upgraded 24kt cigar is based upon. The cigar is the creation of legendary cigar makers Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plasencia, being rolled at Plasencia's renowned factory in Nicaragua. The cigar begins with a Nicaraguan Colorado wrapper, which is secured over Nicaraguan binder/fillers from the Estelí and Jalapa growing regions. All tobaccos are aged for five years prior to being rolled, as well as an additional 12 months after being packaged. The end result is a medium to full-bodied experience, showing body and layered complexity with impressive harmony. Flavors are upfront and zesty through the retrohale, with standout notes of oak, black pepper, roasted nuts, and punchy baker's cocoa.

Michelle Pauser - Daniel Marshall Red Label Corona
I won a box watching KMA so I had nothing to lose trying them, but OH BOY what a treat they ended up being! Great vitola, perfect for a quick smoke when I want something tasty and want to enjoy a good cigar. Not heavy on the strength but it has just enough to hold my attention. A pure joy!

John Caro - Daniel Marshall Red Label Robusto (Verified buyer)
Daniel Marshall not only makes great humidors, some of which belong in museums, but he makes good cigars as well. The red label is a well constructed, flavorful work of art that deserves a place in every humidor.

Robert Hinton - Daniel Marshall Red Label Robusto
I own several Daniel Marshall Humidors and I received a sample of his cigars at that time. My go to stick is the Red Label Robusto which at this price point is the best bar none. I have smoked this product for years and it beats many cigars three times it's price. They are well made and in the hundreds that I have smoked over the years, I have yet had one with a poor draw.
