The legend of the DOGMA continues!
Beginning in 2013, Drew Estate, Cigar Dojo, and Smoke Inn began working on a top-secret project... a cigar that would materialize one year later as the famed Undercrown DOGMA (Cigar Dojo's first-ever collaboration). This intoxicating smoke drew off of the Undercrown Maduro Corona ¡Viva! recipe, stuffing the blend with added ligero (i.e. strength) and rolling the cigars in a beefy 6" x 56 box-pressed toro size (marking the first box-pressed Undercrown). The entire run sold in a matter of minutes, and has since gained legendary cult-like status among die-hard cigar enthusiasts.
With Cigar Dojo now celebrating their milestone 10th anniversary in 2022, the DOGMA now takes on a new form for the first time, introducing the Undercrown Dojo DOGMA 10th Anniversary! For this special occasion, Drew Estate and the Dojo have pulled out all the stops, showcasing the hard-hitting DOGMA blend in an all-new 6″ x 46 box-pressed belicoso format. The DOGMA 10th Anniversary begins with a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, which is secured over a Connecticut Habano binder and fillers of Nicaraguan Habano and Brazilian Mata Fina leaves. When combined with the new format, this makes for a punchy yet complex smoking experience, with a cool smoking temperature bringing out flavors of gritty earth, black pepper, hot cocoa, and a lip-smacking cinnamon / brown sugar confection.
Adding onto the festivities, Drew Estate and the Dojo have also brought back the Undercrown DOGMA Sun Grown for its third run to date. Known as the "Sun Dog," this blend takes the award-winning Undercrown Sun Grown cigar and gives it the DOGMA treatment! The cigar uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra sun-grown wrapper, a zesty Connecticut sun-grown Habano binder, and a boosted blend of Nicaraguan fillers (including Nicaragua’s rarely seen Nueva Segovia region). This unique recipe is rolled in a 5″ x 54 box-pressed format, offering a zesty, aromatic performance that's medium-plus to medium-full in intensity, with highlights of nutmeg, red pepper, and Hot Tamales candy.
Both the Undercrown Dojo DOGMA 10th Anniversary and Undercrown DOGMA Sun Grown 2022 cigars are limited releases, showcasing commemorative Cigar Dojo graphics throughout the packaging and new box seals to designate the 2022 release year. The Undercrown Dojo DOGMA 10th Anniversary is the more limited of the two, with only 2,500 boxes of 10 cigars in existence!
