Erik Espinosa has worn many hats during his time in the premium cigar industry. He began repping for brands such as Drew Estate and Rocky Patel during the tail end of the great cigar boom, later creating his own company—EO Brands—with former partner Eddie Ortega. In 2011, Erik embarked on the most ambitious endeavor of his career, opening a boutique cigar factory in Estelí. The factory, known as La Zona, opened in early 2012, simultaneously signaling the launch of Espinosa's eponymously titled Espinosa Premium Cigars company.
Now, Erik Espinosa has joined an elite group of individuals that have persevered through two decades in the highly competitive market that is premium cigars. Since launching Espinosa Premium Cigars, the company, along with the La Zona factory, has become one of the most sought-after names among craft cigar smokers.
To commemorate the occasion, Espinosa has introduced a special, limited edition blend. The cigars are known as "Erik Espinosa 20th Anniversary," utilizing a curated selection of Nicaraguan tobaccos throughout the binder and filler. As the company is best known for their Habano-wrapped cigars, the blend is capped with a Grade-A Habano Rosado wrapper leaf. The resulting experience is one of the company/factory's finest to date, showing a medium-plus body, complete with balanced flavors of cedar, citrus, baker's cocoa, nutmeg, and creamy custard—all steadily evolving from start to finish.
The cigars have been crafted in a singular 6" x 46 Corona Larga size, allowing for the best possible incarnation of this exceptional blend. In addition, only 500 boxes of 20 cigars have been made.
