Ferio Tego Metropolitan Maduro is one of two cigars (the other being the Metropolitan Connecticut) that made up the original Metropolitan Selection, first debuting under the Nat Sherman portfolio during the cigar boom of the early '90s. Both cigars were crafted in the DR under the watchful eye of Master Blender Manuel Quesada, showcasing the country's unique ability to offer mellow yet flavorful smoking experiences.
Operating as the yin to the other's yang, the Metropolitan Maduro gets its name from the exceptional Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper used. This rich leaf surrounds all-Dominican binder/fillers, being crafted at the very same Quesada Cigars factory to this day.
In 2021, boutique brand Ferio Tego picked up the torch as Nat Sherman sadly closed its doors for the last time. All Nat Sherman cigars are now represented by Ferio Tego in their original form, including the original Metropolitan Maduro cigar. This is a beloved maduro in the premium cigar scene, known for its mild-plus character and dark yet gentle flavors of earth, bittersweet espresso, classic leather, and honey molasses brown bread.
