Not content to rest on his laurels, HVC Cigars founder, Reinier Lorenzo, split from the long-running trend of having his cigars (exclusively) rolled out of the TABSA factory in 2022, making the move to open his very own boutique factory in Nicaragua. Reinier named his factory Fábrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. de Reinier Lorenzo, and the first cigar to come out of the boutique operation was the HVC Selección No. 1 Maduro. The cigars make use of all-Nicaraguan tobaccos (focusing on the country’s Estelí and Jalapa regions) throughout the binder and filler, being topped with a dark and toothy Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Able to direct the entire factory team's efforts towards a single cigar, it's no surprise that the HVC Selección No. 1 Maduro offers a refined craftsmanship and quality.
