Since launching in 2004, La Aurora 100 Años has been among the most acclaimed projects in the company's impressive portfolio. La Aurora is famously the first and oldest cigar manufacturer in the Dominican Republic, being established in Santiago circa 1903. This was the inspiration for La Aurora 100 Años, commemorating the company's milestone centennial anniversary (albeit one year delayed)—a feat that only a select few have ever achieved in the world of premium cigars.
In order to create a smoking experience worthy of the occasion, La Aurora selected the finest leaves from their prized reserves of premium tobacco. This included 100-percent Dominican leaves (highlighted by a signature, well-aged Dominican Corojo wrapper), harvested from the country's famed Cibao Valley growing region, featured throughout the wrapper, binder, and filler. The resulting experience is fuller in intensity than conventional Dominican puros, offering a medium-plus to medium-full body; although, the headlining feature is unquestionably the cigar's refined complexity. 100 Años opens up with classic components of heavy woods and leather, later evolving to include sweet florals, baker's cocoa, mixed nuts, and long-lasting cream and citrus through the finish.

The 100 Años Maduro is one of the best old school broadleafs on the market. Elegant, refined, extremely well balanced, with perfect construction. This reminds me a lot of the Fuente Añejo and God of Fire Serie B Maduro. If you like either of those you must try the 100 años maduro!
