You'll be hard-pressed to find a more classic brand in the world of premium cigars than La Palina! The company traces its roots back to 1896, where Samuel Paley opened his own cigar factory in Chicago, naming his headlining cigar "La Palina" in honor of his wife, Goldie. In 2010, Sam's grandson Bill Paley picked up where his grandfather had left off, reviving La Palina for the modern era.
With many of La Palina's cigars operating in the luxury category of the premium cigar market, the company brought relief to everyday enthusiasts in 2012 with the first La Palina Classic cigar, offering the brand's taste for nostalgia and quality in at a more affordable price point. The line proved a hit, and there are now four unique blend styles in the collection, including the darkest of the bunch: La Palina Classic Maduro.
Rolled out of one of the longest-running factories in Honduras, the La Palina Classic Maduro begins with a dark Honduran maduro wrapper, being secured over a Honduran binder and fillers of Honduras, Nicaragua, and the DR. This makes for a medium-plus intensity, offering the maduro enthusiast their ideal experience with notes of bittersweet espresso, zesty spice, chocolate, and cream through the finish.
