Rather than reinvent the wheel, Perdomo Cigars has taken a different approach to offering something new to their loyal fanbase. It's no secret that Perdomo keeps a tight ship, famously offering one of the most consistent cigar portfolios in the entire cigar industry. As such, company owner, Nick Perdomo Jr., had noticed room for improvement within the Perdomo Reserve collection, subsequently retooling both the Noir (maduro) and Sun Grown (natural) cigars for the modern era.
Introducing the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Maduro, the dark-wrapped counterpart to the legendary Perdomo Champagne cigar. In years past, this cigar was known as the Champagne Noir, with the blend being the same as the Champagne but swapping the Connecticut wrapper for maduro. This constricted the maduro blend to an extent, not allowing the wrapper its proper supporting blend. With Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Maduro, this all changes, as the cigar has been re-blended from the ground up.
Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Maduro is a Nicaraguan puro blend, with 100% of the tobaccos being harvested from the Perdomos' famed fields throughout the country. This includes six-year-aged leaves sourced for the filler, binder, and wrapper components, with the latter being finalized in spent bourbon barrels for 14 months! The result is a naturally sweet, dessert-like smoking experience, showcasing a medium/full body and non-stop flavors of sweet coffee, milk chocolate, brown sugar, rain-soaked oak, and dark vanilla through the finish.
