Rocky Patel Fifty first debuted in 2011 in commemoration of Rocky Patel's 50th birthday. The cigar was limited to 2,000 boxes per size, incorporating a super-premium tobacco blend that would later earn Rocky Patel Premium Cigars one of company's highest ratings, being placed as Cigar Aficionado's No. 8 Cigar of the Year for 2012.
Being one of Rocky's most sought-after releases, Rocky Patel Fifty later returned, being rolled in small batches on a seasonal basis. This fine-tuned performer earns its stripes through a highly select blend, including leaves that are aged upwards of eight years! The cigar boasts all-Nicaraguan fillers, a double binder of Nicaraguan origin, and a dark and oily Ecuadoran Habano-seed Oscuro wrapper. Rolled at Patel's boutique TaviCusa factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, the Fifty delivers complexity with the upmost degree of craftsmanship. The end result is a medium-plus-bodied experience, loaded with highlight flavors of fresh-roast coffee beans, earth, toasted hardwoods, licorice, and dried fruit sweetness, lingering through the finish.
