Commonly known outside of Cuba as "SLR," the Honduran-rolled Saint Luis Rey brand celebrates its heritage with a vintage-inspired look and feel for the Saint Luis Rey Carenas. The name stems from Puerto de Carenas, as Cuba's Port of Havana was formerly known.

Bringing the cigar to life, parent company, Altadis USA, employed the vast knowledge of the Grupo de Maestros blending team of their Flor de Copán factory in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras. A Central American recipe was then chosen, including Honduran fillers, a unique Honduran Broadleaf binder, and a Nicaraguan wrapper. As with the cigar's inspiration and imagery, the final smoking experience is classic in nature, revealing zesty and medium-bodied flavors of earth, cabinet spice, salted nuts, and sweet malt.
