Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial

In 2013, Tatuaje Cigars entered into the company's milestone 10-year anniversary; as such, owner and founder, Pete Johnson, followed the unofficial cigar-making rules and introduced to the world his take on a 10th anniversary smoking experience. The now-legendary smoke was dubbed Tatuaje 10th Anniversary (keep it simple, right?), being rolled in two fine-tuned sizes: Belle Encre (5¾" x 48) and Bon Chasseur (5⅜" x 52).

In the years since, Tatuaje has slowly but surely expanded on the famed 10th Anniversary blend, debuting a Broadleaf version, a San Andrés version, and finally, an Ecuadorian Sumatra version with the Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial cigar. With Tatuaje's portfolio structure, 'Capa Especial' designates an Ecuadorian Sumatra-wrapped take on a given cigar blend. Now, with the Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial, the fan-favorite 10th Anniversary recipe gets the Sumatra treatment; this includes the use of all-Nicaraguan tobaccos throughout the binder and filler, swapping the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper of the original for the spicy-sweet characteristics of the new cover leaf.

As with the original, the cigars are rolled out of the famed My Father Cigars factory in the original Belle Encre and Bon Chasseur sizes. With the latter, the Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial Bon Chasseur, the cigar smokes somewhere in between robusto and toro, offering a good smoke time of roughly an hour and 40 minutes. With the new blend, expect a medium-plus intensity, hitting standout flavor characteristics of clean cedar, aromatic cabinet spices, delicate cinnamon, and cappuccino-like sweetness.
