Tatuaje 20th EL22 & RL22

Twenty twenty-three was loaded with celebratory releases from Tatuaje Cigars, beginning with the Nicaraguan-made Tatuaje 20th Anniversary and expanding into the States with the Miami-made Tatuaje 20th Anniversary RL22 and Tatuaje 20th Anniversary EL22 cigars.

Differing from the frontrunner launch of the Tatuaje 20th Anniversary cigar (a new core line for Tatuaje), the Miami-made cigars take on a more boutique approach. Where the former cigar features official "20th Anniversary" bands, the Miami-made cigars were made for those in the know, bearing standard Escasos and Reserva bands found on pre-existing Tatuaje lines. Additionally, the cigars were rolled by a single torcedor at My Father Cigars' small factory in Miami, producing only 1,000 boxes per blend for this special release. Both cigars were rolled in 2021 and packaged in 2022, and have been resting for over a year for this 20th anniversary debut.

Tatuaje 20th Anniversary RL22

The Tatuaje 20th Anniversary RL22 cigar is banded with Tatuaje's Reserva sub-band, featuring a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/filler. This blend was rolled in a fine-tuned 5½" x 42 corona size, allowing for a concentrated smoke output and punchy flavors of black pepper, ginger snap cookie, and espresso coffee.

Tatuaje 20th Anniversary EL22

The Tatuaje 20th Anniversary EL22 cigar is the lighter of the two, being rolled with a Nicaraguan shade-grown Corojo '99 claro wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/filler. This blend uses a traditional 5" x 50 format, bringing a medium body and delicate complexities of clean cedar, buttered toast, and a malt-like sweetness through the finish.
