Espinosa Laranja Reserva Escuro in Review
When the rubber meets the road, there are some cigars which are not meant for the faint of heart. The Espinosa Laranja Escuro is one of those cigars. From the first puff I knew the Escuro was going to be a journey into the full-bodied spectrum. The first, puffs were full of the flavor that reminded me of a great cup of coffee, black. I kept wondering if this rich flavor would fade, but to my surprise and delight, the flavor continued to get richer with every smooth pull.
I was a little more than halfway through, when I realized the burn was even, even though I did not rotate the cigar. The ash that formed held that box press form, and did not break off easily, even though I was smoking outside. I put the cigar down at the halfway point for two minutes; yes, I timed it. I was hoping to see if the taste would change after it was relit. There was no more smoke trickling from the end. I took one puff, without relighting, and that coffee taste, that full plume of smoke, and that smooth flow was still there. When the rubber meets the road, the Espinosa Laranja Escuro is a full bodied, enjoyable cigar from start to finish.
Love it. I have to try this one maybe with a nice espresso or latte.
Love the journey!
