Ashton launched the La Aroma de Cuba brand in 2002 as a budget-friendly (but still premium) cigar. It was originally rolled in Honduras by Altadis USA, but got a refresh by none other than José Don Pepín García (of My Father Cigars fame) in 2009. The cigar was re-blended and production was moved to My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The blend for La Aroma de Cuba starts with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and is filled with all-Nicaraguan tobacco. When smoking this beauty, you can expect medium-full-bodied flavors that include cocoa, black pepper, brown sugar, and earth.

Griselda Rodriguez - La Aroma De Cuba Robusto
This was a medium to full bodied taste to my palate. La Aroma de Cuba is a flavorful well balance, well-made cigar. Its wrapper comes from a Connecticut Broadleaf with Nicaraguan long fillers which brought out the bold flavors at every puff. Jose Don Peppin Garcia keeps coming out with great smokes. Get yourself a sampler you will not be dissapointed.

Great cigar for the price. This smoke punches you in the face with flavor upon light up. So much that I almost put it down for something smoother but decided to see how it developed. Fortunately, I did because about an inch in, all the flavors started to come together for a very pleasant and flavorful smoke. Wouldn't be a cigar I seek out but wouldn't turn it down either.

I’ve got his stick the past few years at TGS and have since purchased more. Medium bodied with woody and nutty flavors. Very good overall for the price.

Alex Voytilla - La Aroma De Cuba Belicoso
La Aroma de Cuba is one of my go to brands for day to day or on the go occasions. Well constructed, solid draws, and a nice earthy taste at a strong price point is hard to beat. Many of the cigars from LADC are frequents in my humidor.

Martin Kollman - La Aroma De Cuba Belicoso
I am a big fan of the belicoso style as it fits in your mouth so nicely and ups the enjoyability of a bigger cigar. This is the case with La Aroma de Cuba, which has been my favorite for a long time. A medium to medium full blend that is smooth but flavorful enough to add to the experience. I generally don't expect this to be a wild flavor explosion but one of pecans, pine and cedar notes, fresh earth, cocoa, and dark caramel. Pretty much yummy! This is a cigar that can be an everyday smoker and one I would pair with coffee in the morning or an Irish Whiskey.
