Consistent, mellow and smooth. Great morning smoke, with coffee. A bit mild for my palate, these days. I like to to revisit this stick, from time to time. It always delivers the same solid experience.

Martin Kollman - Macanudo Cafe Prince Philip
While Macanudo will most likely not be the golden unicorn of cigars, it is one that fits what most beginning cigar smokers will want to first try and many of us still enjoy decades later. When I want a connecticut cigar, this is my go to and probably the one that I share the most with friends. It is everything that a connecticut should be with a light flavor of cream and caramel followed up by white cedar notes and a bit of a nutty finish. The burn and draw are always perfect and the construction is one of the most consistent on the market. The Prince Philip is one of the lancero types that I enjoy and it gives me a smaller ring gauge with the length that I enjoy when I have time but I suggest trying the Macanudo in other vitolas, as you will find one that is perfect for you.
